Condo A10 - Superior Ocean View

The overall perception on arrival of the Beachfront Condos was really good. The curb appeal is there, and the feeling is great. It was easy getting into the unit with the assigned code, and it was also simple to add our own 'memorable' code. The unit had an overall 'musty' smell that isn't uncommon with humid beachfront units we've stayed at other locations, but we did buy some air fresh spray that helped. The wall safe in the unit needed fresh batteries which the management let me change myself. The management office was very helpful as we needed a new can opener, which was provided, and also helping with other things that came up as well. The location is also very good, on Sugar Beach, and near towns and travel all over the Island. We also walked on the beach (both directions) and swam in the local beach/ocean. The beach equipment that came with the unit was serviceable but the umbrella was replaced by the management team as the original one was damaged/broken unserviceable. The air conditioning unit was serviced while we were there and it did improve the odor in the room for a few days. The unit served our purposes well, and was very comfortable. It should be noted that the Condos can tend to be noisy, depending on who is above you. We were there for three weeks, and the different guests upstairs changed. The last week there were children above us and the noise was quite loud with running, dropping objects, rolling things etc. All these noises could be heard. There is a noise curfew at the Condo but we still needed to remind the neighbours to keep then noise down at night. Again, the management team was very helpful and created a positive experience with their helpful attitudes.

I cannot say enough good things about Kihei Sands. This was our second stay (our first was 5 years ago in unit A6) and we were again overwhelmed with how perfect everything was. It is truly a little slice of paradise with such an intimate feel thanks to the small number of units, can't be beat access to the beach, and all the amenities needed for a perfect beach vacation. We had an amazing week-long stay and are already counting down the days until we can make our way back again. I recommend Kihei Sands to everyone I know heading to Hawaii, as I know there is no other condo unit or resort that can beat it. Truly a one of a kind find that we are so grateful for. Hope to see you all again soon!

Thirty seconds from the condo to the ocean. It doesn't get any better. The place was super clean, Connie was very responsive when contacted. Plenty of towels provided. No spices and/or staples are kept in the kitchen so bring your own. I'm sure this is to help keep the bug population down and they've done a great job. A/C worked great and was SILENT, inside and out. We would definitely stay here again!

This condo was spotless clean, comfortable, and perfect place to spend our vacation. Our back porch was about 20 yards to the beach. The pool was clean and beautiful, the grounds were immaculently maintained. Even the aircon worked so well we had to turn it down or off most of the time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Kihei Sands is an awesome place to stay!!!

ABC store and farmers market a walk down the beach, Isana restaurant a short drive for great sushi (really good happy hour) I'll keep coming back!

Proximity to groceries, restaurants and popular beaches and sites was very convenient. Sunsets....unbelievably beautiful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

It's not hyperbole. This 30-unit boutique condo complex is a gem. Our unit A10 had been recently renovated and had new comfortable furnishings. Unlike large resorts (with what seems a 30-minute walk to the beach through a lobby and grounds), we were STEPS from the beach. It was a downstairs unit, so it had easy access from the beach or pool area. Our patio had ocean views. The beach is pristine and empty. The beach stretched for miles, so daily walks were a pleasure. Property managers Connie and Patrick were friendly and so accommodating. One plus of this complex are the established quiet times. Other pluses: an area with shared beach equipment, and 6:30 a.m. coffee on the patio for all guests. A short walk to Sugar Beach Bakery (get the Portuguese donuts) and Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice. We will be back next year -- and many years to come. HINT: check the condo before going grocery shopping. Ours had olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and lots of spices.

A perfect 1 BR condo for a couple. Would be small for more, even with the pull-out sofa. Excellent location - central to so many Kihei things to do and restaurants. None walking distance, though. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped, quiet. Your beach awaits - literally less than 100 steps away. The small but well-maintained pool and lounge chairs are even closer. This sure beats the much more expensive luxury resorts in Wailea, which are beautiful but you'll have a 10 minute walk from your room to the pool and more (or a drive) to the beach. Priced right - especially in the shoulder seasons.

The condo experience was pretty much what I expected. Excellent place to walk/exercise/hike on the beach. All other vacationers in the condo complex are easy people to carry on a conversation and cook on the two well engineered BBQ grills. Pool is perfectly located on the water front but to the side of umbrellas sitting areas. Showers w heads above your head and at knee high are located just off the beach, a real benefit to not tracking in sand. Swimming in the waves is a sandy experience. I did have a few issues upon arrival. Once I made them known, the issues were immediately corrected. Managers are cordial, interesting and professional. Having beach equipment available that one can’t carry on the plane is a real plus. Costco, Walmart, and assorted quality restaurants are within 3 miles. The worst normal heavily trafficked roads are better than the better roads in Houston and without road rage.

Kihei Sands is a well kept, quiet condo spot on sugar beach. Wonderful ocean views, expanses of beach to wander, walking distance to activities (Kihei Canoe Club, and efoil boarding), as well as a small farmers market, ABC, and sugar beach bakery!
Ample beach side seating is open to all with morning coffee to watch the sunrise, and a grill to cookout for your evening meal.
The condo itself is well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great location. Nicely appointed, equipped and clean condo. staff were great especially in organizing a pot luck dinner and providing a lattern when the area lost electricity. The only issue is that our air conditioner stopped working and we were unable to get someone to come by to look at in on the weekend when the office was closed. we elected to NOT try the emergency line as the weather was not horrible.

Our 10 Days at Kihei Sands were incredible. The location of Kihei is central to all the activities Maui offers. Being on Sugar Beach is perfect for swimming and walking on the beach. The only thing that I can say as a negative is this property is in a wind tunnel in the afternoons. South into Kihei the winds are blocked by the mountain. Great beach. Really quiet, clean, nice condos but too windy for me.

We have stayed in multiple condos here, A10 was one of our favorites. It is perfectly placed so you are not directly on the patio where it can be a little noisy, and you will have your own patio all to yourself with no one disturbing your beach view. The condos are always clean and in great condition when we arrive. This time, the bathroom floor had been missed, still a little sand and a couple of bugs, BUT this has NEVER happened before. We just swept it up and called it a day. That was honestly the only thing slightly negative I have to say. The staff is always great and super helpful. We will keep coming back.

Our rental experience was excellent. The suite was immaculately clean, the appliances were brand new and the TV was huge and a bonus. The decor was lovely. We loved the pool and the ocean swimming. The staff, Patrick and Connie, were so very friendly and extremely helpful. The owners were there for their 'week' together and made us feel part of their community. We were given great tips on outings, stores, restaurants.

We fell upon this fabulous spot in Maui. A lovely small condo right on the beach. The unit was clean and cozy, with a view of the ocean from the breakfast table.
The pool was lovely and right on the ocean with lots of seating and lounges. Freshly made coffee by the pool in the morning was a bonus!

We chose this unit for its proximity to the venue for a wedding we were attending. We only stayed two nights, but the unit was wonderfully kitted our with every item you could need, from beach chairs to martini glasses, for a good vacation. The complex is clean, quiet, right on the ocean, and youll enjoy the sound of waves crashing. Theres an ABC Store and a shave ice stand just a 10 minute walk down the beach.

Our stay at Kiehei Sands was fabulous. UnitA10 was outfitted with everything we needed and was so convenient to the pool the beach and a great sunset. The unit was clean and bright. The grounds were immaculate and the barbecues were cleaned up for use each day. We are a retired couple who joined other family members and kids. We all had a great time. The beach and pool were perfect for the kids and gave us a great place to walk each day. Parking is a little tight so smaller vehicles would be recommended.

We have stayed here several times and like the area for the quiet beach and calm surf. Now that we have a four year old we realize there are some amenities missing, such as a heated pool - but the beach is great for kids so that makes up for it!

We arrived at Kihei Sands Beachfront Condos to a small but wonderful setting located on Sugar Beach. We stayed in units A4 & A10. Both units were very well equipped with all the comforts of home! They seemed to have thought of everything. We were able to stock the fridge and eat meals at the condo as well as enjoying dinner out. The common grounds include 2 gas BBQ grills, sun bathing chairs (next to the ocean), tables with umbrellas to eat or sit and chat, pool with sun bathing chairs, laundry facilities, trash & recycling center. This was by far our best time we had with family on Maui. We will definitely return to Kihei Sands, and would recommend it to anyone who just wants to relax and feel like you are at home! The owners have different things going on on the weeknights. There is even a night where they bring out all the fixings for s'mores to include a rolling gas grill and skewers. We all enjoyed making s'mores and visiting with other families! Thank you for all the wonderful memories! We will be back!!

My husband and I decided to spend Christmas this year in Maui and it was one of the best vacations we have had! The condo was perfect for what we wanted. We have stayed in many hotels before and this was our first time using a VRBO and we loved it. The location was perfect, nice and quiet, not overly crowded, and the condo was absolutely beautiful. We had access to many different amenities not normally found when staying at a hotel. Overall our vacation was a total success!

My husband and I stayed in Maui with our 10 and 6 year old boys. Our priorities were to be on the ocean (hello! It's Hawaii!!), avoid the touristy feel of a resort and be centrally located. Kihei Sands was perfect for us!! We chose a 1 bedroom with pull out couch because we wanted to walk right to the beach and have green space (1st floor) it was a little tight at times, but truly worked. You can't trade the access to just walk outside and see that marvelous view! Food: must try coconuts fish tacos in Kihei, flatbread pizza in Paia (love the luau pork!) and Jennifer's!! We hit all three places more than once!!

My family and I had a great time here. The complex is beautiful, and beautifully maintained. The residents and visitors were all very friendly, and it was a pleasure getting to know people throughout the week. The location is awesome too. The condo itself is right off the beach, so you can litereally walk out to the beach. The lawn area that overlooks the beach was great. Again, beautifully maintained, and very nice to walk out too in the morning (to sit down with a cup of coffee/juice, etc...). We also found Kihei to be a great location. It is centrally located, and we never had to drive to far to our many other excursions which included Whale Watching, Zip lining, and scuba diving. The town itself is great, cause it is a nice combination of local life and tourist life.

I would definitely stay here again.

We liked the condo. It was very clean, well stocked in the kitchen, and tastefully decorated. It was the cleanest complex we have stayed at. The A/c worked well and was quiet. The beach was nice for walking and swimming. We liked that it is a small complex (less people at the pool). The DVR was smart, so we could watch Netflix. I would have liked a Tv in the bedroom and a couple more bath towels. We were there for 14 days, so 4 towels didn't last long before needing to wash. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing stay at Kihei Sands! I cannot say enough good things. Checking in and out were very easy. The staff is so friendly. The location is perfect. The building is right on the ocean and we watched beautiful sunsets from the back patio each night. We could see the ocean sitting in our condo, which was really nice. I loved being right on the beach where we didn't need to cross a road to go swimming. The condo is also located in a good central location for exploring Maui. We stayed here for a week and took day trips to different parts of the island each day. Nothing was too far away. Parking was easy and the condo was clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is a great location with a wonderful view. It's next to a large condo building, but the beach was nice and quiet and no noisy neighbors. Started each morning with a nice walk and swim. We liked the kitchenette, and the condo was close enough to food stores so you didn't have to depend on eating at restaurants all the time. Lots of shops and good places to eat on S. Kihei Rd. within a 5-10 minute drive. About a 25 minute drive from Lahaina, where there are more shops, excursions, luaus, and stuff to do. If you want a quieter, more private place to retreat to after a busy day, this is the place to go. The staff in particular were very friendly and helpful with regard to facility questions, excursion arrangements, local knowledge, etc. There's a family that lives on-site as caretakers of the complex, and they did a wonderful job and made us feel at home. We would definitely come back here again!
