We have been very fortunate to come to Maui several times and have stayed at Kihei Sands for the majority of our stays. It is a great location, close to the beach and pool, easy access to both, and a very relaxed setting. That is why we keep coming back.

The grounds were beautiful & well cared for. Great customer service. They were able to let us checkin a little early which was very helpful with 2 young kids. Will highly recommend. 6 people in 3 bedroom condo. We were mostly comfortable. The couch could use updating. This is the only 3 bedroom and it's above management and next to parking lot. Some view of ocean from balcony but no privacy. Overall a good place to stay.

We loved our condo! It was very cozy, well equipped,!the condos are right on the beach, our unit has a small deck and you can see the water. The morning coffee on the patio was a super extra bonus! They have it all set up beginning at 6:00am. From coffee in the morning on the patio to sunset at night with wine, chatting with fellow vacationers was pretty sweet! Patrick is super helpful with where to go and what to do.

The Condos are wright off Sugar Beach. The waves broke about knee deep to waist high, which made it grate for the young kids to play in the ocean.

We loved it. TIGHT parking lot, but we adjusted and figured it out. Plus it's tight parking all over the island. Glad we had a mini van for sliding doors. The fridge (ice maker) had some buzzing issues, but we figured that out.
Right off the beach, lots of water washing stations, close to little store, farmer's market and delicious shave ice.
The location was a perfect distance (middle ground) from everything.
Pool was great if you didn't want to get sandy.
Loved the view from our patio (even as the back unit), we could see the ocean.

Very comfortable space for our family and lovely location just steps away from Sugar Beach. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool and there were float toys & sand castle supplies available. Coin -op laundry is available on site. Kitchen appliances could use some update.

Fantastic place to stay in Kihei. Our place had plenty of room for 5 adults and a baby. Beds were comfortable and loads of amenities. Steps from the beach and the patio had plenty of tables, lounge chairs and shade umbrellas. Community beach chairs and beach stuff was available on first come basis. Condo staff were very helpful. Short walk to Sugar Beach Bakery and Shave ice! We will definitely be back.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay before we arrived and could not have been happier with our choice. The location was wonderfully central to anything we wanted to do on the island. The condo was very clean and well appointed and the entire facility was clean and nice. My wife and I went with our adult and teenage children and there were times everyone wanted to do their own thing. Having a keypad entry was super convenient because we could all come and go as we pleased with without having to worry about who had keys, or leaving them on the beach, etc. One of the things I missed the most after coming home was waking up, going to the patio and enjoying the sunrise with a fresh coffee while the waves rolled in. The staff was accessible and responsive. My only caution is that if you’re coming here don’t rent an SUV or larger vehicle. The parking lot spots and in/out are very tight. We had a minivan which was ok but anything bigger would have been an issue. Overall, outstanding game experience. We can’t wait to come back to Maui and will absolutely stay here when we do.

Excellent property management; both Connie and Patrick very visible and pleasant. Great location on quiet beach. Would rent again but a different unit. Have stayed in another unit that provided more amenities; beach chairs, umbrella, coolers. Bought beach chairs and left them with the unit. The upstairs bedroom had cobwebs and termite droppings. The floor air conditioning units provided good cooling, but they were loud and took up a lot of space.

This was our 2nd stay at Kihei Sands condo in the last 3 years. We love the location! Just step outside your door and you feel like you have your own private beach. Take a short walk on the beach to a local farmers market, ABC store, a local bakery, and the best shave ice! We enjoyed participating with the canoe club that’s located on Sugar Beach. The property is well maintained. Not crowded, not noisy, and family friendly. Being from Texas,A/C is a must; therefore, we enjoyed our Condo during the summer visit.

This vacation rental was perfect for our family of 7. It is right on the beach. We loved sitting on the patio every morning drinking coffee and watching boats rowing in the ocean. We loved returning to the patio at night to relax and listen to the waves. The condo we rented was very clean!! We loved absolutely everything about our stay in Hawaii!! We can't wait to return.

We stayed for two weeks in February. The beach is the best and is right there! Sunsets were awesome. I wouldn’t expect to see 3 private bedrooms. Upstairs has an area without a door, and another area with twin beds that has shutters to close it off. That room was basically a loft over living room so noisy is anyone was still up. Big beds were comfy but twins are very uncomfortable and should be replaced. We had an issue with air conditioning and Patrick responded promptly and within a day the air guy added fluid. It needs new coil and not sure if owners don’t want to properly repair it or they can’t get a part because this apparently as an issue in January.
The location is perfect and until the last two days when a rowdy wedding group showed up it was quiet. There is construction going on in down stairs units due to a previous flood but that hopefully will be done soon.
I would recommend this to people as long as they understand the sleeping arrangements aren’t really 3 separate rooms like a typical 3 bedroom condo. Laundry was a pain because it’s hard to get a machine in the laundry room.
Patrick was also very helpful is providing suggestions on island things to do! Great location to see whales also!

The location was perfect. Little snug with 5 adults, upstairs really has no doors. Our biggest problem was the fact we were not told the tiny parking lot is full of construction trucks all day. We were told one car per place, yet if we came and went we lost all spots to crews working. And then there’s the noise of the crew during the day working right below. Lucky no one starts before 9. Over all a great place but would of like to know this ahead of time.

It is a great place with a beautiful beach that has some cool snorkeling. The kitchen is small but very clean and the layout of the place is cool. You have to drive into town, but there is a small market within walking distance. We'd stay here again.

This place was exactly what we needed and a great price. Its a bit tight for the 7 of us but we made it work just fine. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and the deck is slightly bigger than it looks. We would stay here again for sure! it's a great location to go north or south on the island although parking is tight (as they say).

This was our first time in Maui. We do extensive research, read reviews etc before renting a place to stay.

We were two families with six people. Two couples and two kids so sleeping arrangements were perfect. Everyone had an actual bed which were very comfortable. This place checked off all the boxes we all had being within budget: beach front, air condition, pool, beds for all. The location was perfect. The views - amazing. The beach was like our own private beach.

We liked the smaller complex and it was very clean. There were "community" chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and more which was helpful. The beachfront area with grill, lounge chairs, table, chairs makes it feel like home.

Now for a few more notes that didn't hinder OUR stay but could help with your decision about whether or not this is the place for you: the unit is cozy and on the small size. The MBR and bath are in the loft area along with the room with the twin beds. With the unit being on the smaller size, every voice and sound can be heard easily throughout. So if you have early birds and night owls staying, this could be an issue if you allow it to. We made it work because the early birds would go down to the lounge chairs or for a walk on the beach. The balcony/lanai is rather small and though you can see the ocean, you're also overlooking a parking lot. Again, didn't hinder our stay. We easily walked down to the beach for the views. There are no laundry machines in the unit itself but there are some available on site.

Overall the location was perfect for us. You are within walking distance to a farmers market, bakery, ABC store. Driving to restaurants, grocery stores and excursions was very convenient. We would stay here again (minus the kids haha) in a heartbeat.

We stayed in several places during our recent Maui family vacation, and Kihei Sands was a family favorite. This condo is so close to the beach, it’s unreal. Sugar Beach was pleasantly uncrowded, and the complex’s selection of beach chairs, boogie boards and other toys was perfect! The 3 bedroom condo was very comfortable for our family of six, and we were greeted with great local coffee and candies!

The management was very caring and customer focused. Our daughter lost a favorite stuffed animal, which we discovered 2 days after checking out, when we were staying in Hana. We called the office and they found it for her! Our daughter and dinosaur were reunited, and the KS team won six fans for life!

The KS complex seems to be conveniently located for many things, and is a short walk from the best shave ice on the planet! (Ululani’s Shave Ice). We did sunrise on Haleakala, and road to Hana from here. KS offers an intimate location for family or friends with a great beach all to yourself. We plan to come back for sure.

Kihei Sands turned out to be close to perfect for our family vacation. The pool/patio/BBQ area is quaint and comfortable, and just steps from the beach. The location is very convenient. Highlights for us were morning coffee and evening cocktails on the patio, long walks on the beach, and swimming right in front of the condo. There were only three things that weren’t so great:
1 the parking spaces in the parking lot are too small! It was challenging to get in and out.
2. Limited laundry hours (2p-8pm)
3. On checkout morning, the housekeeper stood outside our door for over an hour, watching us take out trash and haul bags to the car. This was very uncomfortable for us, and prevented us from enjoying a few minutes to relax one the patio one last time.

This year was the second time we stayed at Kihei Sands. We do enjoy the location, it's away from the busy downtown Kihei area and we love spending time at the beach and the pool. We also like the fact that the complex is small and less busy. Our unit was nicely updated. The only thing that needed addressing was the handle on the refrigerator, which was mostly detached. We'll likely come back again next year!

We had a great time at Kihei Sands. It is on an amazing beach with great sunsets. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent and there was coffee ready every morning. The location was great with easy access to get to Wailea or up to Kaanapali. We made several meals that were enjoyed oceanfront listening to waves and watching the sunset.

We had a great time during our stay . We loved that the beach was right outside . Plus their is a pool if you don’t want to deal with the sand and waves . I thought our unit was set up very nicely . We didn’t have a iron bit our other party in a different unit did . We really liked that they had a s’mores night on Sunday and apps on Tuesday , very good idea . Would definitely stay again . We only had a problem with the coffee pot but we cleaned it and then it was fine . Their were a few small things like a cupboard wouldn’t close but we let them know . Overall great experience.

We had a great time staying at Kihei Sands. The beach was quiet compared to other beaches in Maui. The property was right on the beach for easy access to the ocean. Lots of beach chairs and umbrellas available for use. The property was clean and well-maintained and everything we needed was available in the condo. We enjoyed whale watching, a luau, hiking, the Road to Hana, surfing lessons and watching the sunrise in Haleakala National Park.

We had a fantastic stay in Unit B15 at Kihei Sands. The unit was very clean and well equipped. The air conditioning units worked well and we had no issues with anything inside the condo - beds were very comfortable. The management was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the smores night they host as well as the feeling of community in the patio area by the pool. Everything with our stay including communication regarding our stay exceeded expectations.

We booked Kihei Sands Beachfront Condo on-line and had no idea what kind of accommodation we were actually going to get.
It turns out that this was a very good decision. The Condo served our needs perfectly. There was ample space for the seven of us to spend twelve days. The Kitchen was adequately equipped to allow for all our food preparation.
The location was superb in that the beach was not too crowded the water was such that our youngest grandchild could enter without fear. The on site pool was fantastic for the kids to play in after the sun had gone down.
One of the highlights of the day was watching the Sunset from the comfort of the Lanai! It was awesome.
The Condominium staff were extremely helpful and their daily activity of preparing coffee on the Lanai was very much appreciated

We had an amazing vacation on Maui. Staying in Condo B15 of Kihei Sands was perfect. The unit had very comfortable beds for 6. It was very very clean and had enough linens and towels for all. The kitchen was well stocked. We had a nice ocean view. Most days we were up early and explored the island. The condo is centrally located and close to many attractions. We saw the sunrise on Haleakala, hiked the trail to the Waimoku falls, drove the road to Hana, snorkeled at Molokini crater and turtle reef, visited the Maui ocean center and had many other adventures. At the end of the day it was wonderful relax on the patio by the pool and beach at Kihei Sands and enjoy the sunsets as well as return to the comfort of B15! (AC was a bonus and kept us cool at night.)We missed the free coffee in the mornings on the patio at Kihei Sands because we were off early every day but we did enjoy the free pizza one night on the patio. John and Connie were wonderful. They answered all our questions, provided tips for exploring the island, invited us to pizza and helped us with discounts to the Maui ocean center. I would highly recommend this rental property and would definitely stay there again!!

Great beach and patio. Property is a bit oudated and needs maintenance. The really annoying part of my family was that they wouldn't give us towels, toilet paper, or soap. For nearly $500/night this and more should have been provided without attitude or fees.

2nd visit to Kihei Sands, and stayed in one of the units that can sleep 5. Really nice vibe to this small condo resort. Enjoyed our early morning walks on Sugar beach with free coffee courtesy of the resort! There always seems to be at least one of the owners staying on site, who are happy to chat with you. Nice family friendly atmosphere. Unit was great as usual. Well equipped. Local tip.....visit the end of Hookipa Beach park to see tonnes of turtles beaching themselves everyday around 4pm for a rest. We counted 52 turtles! Also Fantastic snorkelling 20 mins down the road at Kamaole Beach #2 around the rocks.

We loved this property. Only here for one night for a family event on Maui, but as residents of Hawaii, we loved it. This was a 3 bedroom and we had 3 couples. Even though one room was off of the other room, there was a sliding door for privacy, allowing us a place to change in our rooms. We are all family so it was fine. It was as described, location was excellent, really nice neighbors, clean and the managers were good about getting everything to you before you arrived. When we come back, we'll definitely stay again. Mahalo nui Kihei Sands!!

Perfect location in paradise, very thoughtful layout, nice pool and great amenities (gas grill, pool toys, cable tv, appliances). Loved watching the sunset every night on the patio. My only critique is that the cutlery was in dire need of sharpening. It took 15 mins to cut up a pineapple, and forever to slice up chicken breasts. If you like to cook, this is a disappointment.

This is a great place to stay in Maui for several reasons besides the fact that it's clean and friendly. By staying here you can bypass much of the heavy traffic getting in and out of Kihei, Wailea and Makena due to construction on one of the main roads. It's centrally located to many parts of the island. Sugar Beach is just a few steps outside your condo and has very few people which makes it feel like it's your very own beach. It's the perfect beach for taking early morning sunrise walks. These units are all
well maintained and I would for sure bring my group back here again! Sue, the manager, was very accommodating to our group which I was extremely grateful for.

Rental unit was clean and just the right size for 5 of our party. Just missed my TV in the loft bedrooms.
The shower head in the 1st floor bathroom did not disperse water, looks like there were sediments blocking the holes.

We recently stayed at Kihei Sands, unit B15, for a week. We are already planning our next stay! The location was perfect...away from the overcrowded west side of the island. The A/C was such an added bonus! The unit stayed cool the entire time. While the units are small, they make great use of the space and it was just perfect for the 5 of us! The unit was clean and the beds were super comfortable! Management thought of every detail during our stay and we felt like we were at home! We can't wait for our next visit!

We were at the property for one day and immediately began talking about our return to this same condo! We loved the unit and it's amenities, the easy access to the beach as well as the pool and shared patio. This was our paradise home during our 7 day stay and highly recommend if you are looking for a quieter, relaxing vacation on the beach. Easy access to other areas of the island from this location and a short drive from the airport and Costco. Upstairs shower could use a "facelift" and suggest adding a light blocking shade/curtain to window in stairway to prevent early morning sunlight in the room with twin beds (it was so bright!). These are only suggestions and in no way negatively impact our review. We miss Maui and our condo already! We will return!

Overall the condo was great! The AC in our unit worked well, so it kept the place comfortable. Beds were comfortable too. The patio area and the beach were the biggest highlights of our stay. Honestly, this was our favorite area of beach to swim and relax. Took a walk every morning at sunrise and was met with fresh coffee on the patio when we would return. Great spot to be outdoors! A few things could have been better: Parking lot is ridiculously small and hard to park in. The fridge in our unit had ill fitting parts and was missing shelves, to the point that the bottom drawer fell out on the floor while trying to pull the drawer open.We would stay here again as long as we had the same unit. The unit the grandparents stayed in had bad AC, so it was too warm in there all the time. That being said, those were the only downfalls. We loved the location, had comfortable atmosphere and were able to relax.

We had a lovely time with family in B-15 and B-4. Our only complaint was the highway noise, especially for B-15. If we come again, we'll select a unit on the south side, both to escape the noise and the better view.

A private well kept relaxing place to stay right on the ocean. Beautiful common area with a gorgeous patio, lounge chairs and a grill for all to use. Location is ideal and close to many shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend Kihei Sands and would stay here again!

We brought our family to Maui with us and this was the perfect location for everyone. Our unit had the most comfortable beds and the air conditioning was a plus. Everyone was so friendly, we felt like old friends visiting again.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Kihei Sands. The units are spacious and clean and well equipped. Towels are great, and the staff are amazing!

We had a wonderful week at this condo. The office staff were excellant. They provided the best breakfast on monday out on the patio. The beach was very nice and not crowded with people like other besches. Very private setting.

This rental was absolutely perfect for our family of 6, 4 adults & 2 children. We stayed 2 beautiful wks. Perfect location-exactly as portrayed. Management were kind, very patient & helpful. The concierge that management suggested...Mona, was wonderful-extremely helpful & efficient. We visited the Aquarium-was interactive for the children and a great example of the fish we would see snorkeling, attended the amazing Grand Luau-complete with a front row table (thxs Mona), we went to Lan'i with Trilogy excursions for a superb day of snorkeling, we also went Zip lining with North Shore-Great course with a bonus that these folks were amazing with our grandchildren--lottsa fun and educational--ask about the sleepy plant.

We had a great trip. Low crowds on the beach and loved the convenience of being just steps to the beach.

This was a beautiful vacation spot. The condo and it's location were just what we were hoping for and the staff were friendly and very willing to help us out. We were happy that everyone was so friendly and were just like family, we met so many nice people. It was so nice to have the beach so close as the view was breathtaking.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kihei Sands in Maui. The condo is set in a beautiful location near many nice white sand beaches. Shopping is not too far away either! The care takers at the condo are so helpful and kind...especially when our flight was delayed and we didn't get in until after midnight. Cheri purchased groceries for us so we would have breakfast the next morning. We highly recommend Kihei Sands Rentals!

This was a good solution for a family of five doing our own cooking. The kids liked the cozy loft bedrooms upstairs, although the air conditioner right beside the bed made it a bit cool by one of the beds. The barbecue and the outdoor hose for rinsing off after swimming were useful features for us (a spray nozzle on the hose would have been nice). We spent most of our week snorkeling. The location gave easy access to the airport, visiting Lahaina, snorkeling in South Kihei, driving to Haleakala summit, and shopping in Wailuku and Kahului.

I booked condo B15 after seeing the pictures on the website and talking to the owner. The unit presented as a three bedroom unit. We are a family of four with an additional relative joining us. Imagine our surprise when we arrived. There was really only one true bedroom. The upstairs loft has two separate sleeping areas and a bathroom. The sleeping areas have some partitions but are open to the downstairs with no privacy a bedroom would give you. We made it work but had we been two or three couples it would have dampened our vacation. The condo is somewhat updated yet was functional for our needs. Our disappointment was made up for with the location and the on-site managers, Cheri and Jonathan. The inviting patio area is right on the beach and is a great place to relax, cook and eat! There are tables, umbrellas and cooking grills and each morning the patio and grills are cleaned while fresh coffee is made for the guests. Cheri and Jonathan interact with the guests and are a great resource for things to do from a local's perspective. They were GREAT hosts, even planning evening social activities for the guests. I've stayed in the south and west parts of the island. This was my first time to stay in the north Kihei area. The central location is great and makes accessing the entire island easy- only 20-30 min to Lahaina, Paia, Wailea, Upcountry and the airport. Safeway and Costco are both close as I went to Safeway multiple times. The beachfront location is somewhat private and quiet. The Kihei Sands condos are on Sugar Beach. The water is warm and calm and good for swimming. If you want to snorkel, boogie board or surf you'll need to drive to a different beach, but they're close. I'd definitely recommend the Kihei Sands as it's a great value. You can spend 2-3 times more for a week in the south or the west. I'd stay there again but I'd choose a different condo unit if I needed more than one bedroom. This condo could also work well for a family that had young kids.

Great location, great managers-perfect for us. Location was great as our daughter was married at Sugar Beach Events (next door)and it was nice and quiet and very clean. I would recommend this place. Thank you for the homemade toffee that was given to us by Jonathen and Cheri. We felt like it was home away from home.

My family had a great stay at the Kihei Sands condo. Cheri and Jonathon were very gracious and wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone making a trip to Maui.

First time to Maui and we loved it. Just wished we would have had more time. The only part that we were a little unhappy with is the air conditioning in the Condo. There needs to be one downstairs as well.

Loved being close to the ocean and hearing the waves coming in. It was a quiet resort with a delightful patio and amenities.

This is a Great area, B15 had Air conditioning but the lower bedroom still got hot. One Electrical Breaker would pop(3times)if several items were on at the same time. I would still highly recommend this place for a vacation.

This was our third stay at the Kihei Sands. The location is perfect, right on beautiful Sugar Beach. While not a resort, the "Sands" are comfortable apartments with good amenities. Two units (B15 & B1) have a third bedroom off the upstairs loft bedroom which is great for us being Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa & two 5 yr old twin girls. Being at the North end of Kihei is great too since it is away from all the traffic and hustle & bustle. We'll be back!

This was our first trip to Maui as a family and could not have asked for a more perfect location. We have a 3.5 year old and 2 year old, and also brought both Grandmas and one Auntie. B15 fit us perfectly, and was ideal with beach front access and on site pool. Margie and Jim were INCREDIBLE to work with and we truly felt like we had a home away from home! Beautiful grounds, well stocked and convenient condo, great beach access. We'll be back!!

Had a great overall experience. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.
