Kihei Sands Condos Rates and Policies

 

Rates:

  • Rates subject to 14.962% Hawaii State & Excise Tax + 3.0% Local Maui County Tax.  Total Tax Rate = 17.962%
  • Rates do not include cleaning fees, listed separately. 
  • All rates and taxes are subject to change without notice.
  • Rates quoted are based upon the following occupancy rules of 2 persons per bedroom:
    • 1 Bedroom Condo = 2 Person Occupancy
    • 2 Bedroom Condo = 4 Person Occupancy
    • 3 Bedroom Condo = 6 Person Occupancy
  • Reservations with occupancy in excess of the rules stated above shall incur a $42 fee per night, per additional occupant, and will be added to the per diem rate by our reservationists. Maximum occupancy for the rental unit is the number the rental unit sleeps, and is set by the owner.  This number includes infants and children - they count as occupants no matter their age regardless of whether they are sleeping with parents or are in their own bed. Occupancy shall not be higher than the amount stated in the rental description. There is no additional charge for children under TWO years of age. NOTE:  Additional guests found occupying a condo NOT previously registered with Rental Management shall be subject to a $75 fee per night, per additional occupant, added to the per diem rate. 

Reservations:

  • Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of deposit payment equal to 25% of the gross rental fee.
  • Reservations are subject to a nonrefundable $40 Reservation/Booking Fee (plus applicable taxes).
  • Reservations are subject to a nonrefundable $200 Cancellation Fee.
  • Reservations are subject to a refundable $39 Guest Services Fee.
  • Payment of balance in full is due 60 days prior to arrival.
  • Payments may be made by Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Cancellations: 

* Reservations may be cancelled within 72 hours of booking, with no penalty.

* Reservations cancelled 60 days or more prior to arrival are refunded the full deposit minus $200 administration fee and nonrefundable $40 booking fee (plus applicable taxes) for a total non-refundable amount of $251.30.

* Reservations cancelled 59 days (or less) of arrival will be forfeited in full, unless travel insurance was purchased and the cancellation reason is covered by insurance. No exceptions will be made for any reason.  Rebooking will not be an option. 

* Travel insurance is highly recommended and can be purchased through Kihei Sands. Please contact our managers for information regarding coverage, cost and how to purchase.  All travel insurance purchased through Kihei Sands will be contracted between the guest and our third party insurance carrier Generali Global Assistance (GGA). Policy coverage available upon request prior to acceptance.  Insurance must be purchased within 72 hours of flight departure to Maui.

Check in/Check out:

  • CHECK IN: after 3:00PM *** CHECK OUT: 10:00AM. Late check outs, if available, must be approved by the rental manager 48 hours prior to departure and will incur a 1/2 day rental fee (10 am to 10 pm). This is our only late check out option. 
  • PRIOR TO CHECK OUT guests shall take care of the following:
    • Garbage/recyclables placed in the dumpster/recycle bins at street side of parking lot.
    • Load dirty dishes and utensils into the dishwasher and start it. 
    • Gather all wet / used towels and place in tub / shower.
    • Dispose of all opened food and beverages in refrigerator and freezer. Unopened products may be left. 
    • TURN OFF air conditioner(s), fans, and lights.
    • Close and lock slider door and entry door.

Miscellaneous:

  • Parking is provided for authorized guest vehicles only. Only one vehicle allowed per condo.
  • Parking Pass included with welcome packet in condo and must be clearly visible on vehicle dash.
  • Each unit is supplied with a starter kit of: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, hand soap and dish soap, etc. If you require more during your stay please plan accordingly.  We suggest bringing laundry pods and extra dishwasher pods with you from home. 
  • No pets are allowed with the exception of Certified Service Dogs only. Proof will be required upon booking. A refundable deposit will also be taken at time of booking.
  • ALL units are nonsmoking. Each violation is subject to a $500 damage assessment, plus actual costs incurred in cleaning and repairing the unit after each violation of the No Smoking policy. There is a smoking area at the end of the driveway. 
  • If available, twin beds can be converted to a king size ($45 housekeeping charge).
  • All guests shall abide by established Kihei Sands Association of Apartment Owners (AOAO) House Rules.
  • We will make every effort to reserve the unit selected, however we reserve the right to move guest(s) to similar units at no additional charge should this become necessary. Every effort will be made to upgrade the unit.  This is a rare occurance and only happens when the condo becomes unavailable for unexpected reasons, such as a broken pipe or a force of nature.
