A5 is in a small complex that is intimate and laid-back. You have a partial view of the ocean from your lanai. However, A5 is in a Direct BEACHFRONT COMPLEX which is steps away to Maui's famous white sand beach called "Sugar Beach". The beach is clean and unpopulated with beautiful views stretching for miles in either direction. You can walk for miles south towards South Kihei or miles north towards Ma'alaea Bay. Sugar Beach is Maui's longest beach.

This location is ideal for long walks, jogging, swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing and whale watching in the winter (November - March.)
The common area is direct OCEANFRONT and features a beautiful tiled pool with whale mosaics on the bottom, beachfront lawn with lounge chairs, large dining tables with umbrellas and a BBQ area with 2 commercial gas grills, all with ocean views. The property faces West so you can enjoy each Happy Hour from either your private lanai or down in the pool area or oceanfront deck and watch the MAGNIFICENT Maui SUNSET skies.
A short walk down the beach to the south, you'll find a Farmers Market, Sugar Beach Bake Shop and Ululani's Shave Ice (rated #1 on Maui). Right next door to the north, you'll enjoy local tavern called Dina's Sandwitches for casual dining with a full bar. Of course, by car there are abundant options from casual dining in South Kihei to fine dining in Wailea and Mama's Fish House in Pa'ia. You can drive to Safeway, Foodland, Costco, Target, Walmart and local shops. Your condo location is centrally located on the island and less than 15 MINUTES from the AIRPORT. We had a great stay at Kehei Sands, the condo was clean and had everything we needed for cooking. Front desk was very helpful and able to help with discounts to local attractions. Ocean access was fantastic and not that busy. Condo is centrally located on the island so we weren't very far from anything. Would definitely return for a future visit! my only complaint would be that they were doing construction at the condo across from us and started way to early in the morning but i am sure that isn't always an issue!

We wish we would have stayed here for our full trip in Hawaii. The unit is clean, quiet and has a great beachside location. It's also pretty spacious for two people. The pool was generally quiet and warm. We loved chilling at our Lanai in the morning and seeing the sunrise. The bed was super comfortable and the rental company let us use a guidebook for Maui during our stay. If you don't have a car, this location may be a bit difficult because you do want to drive further south to the restaurants and shops in Kihei.

We were recommended Kehei Sands by friends who stayed here for 2 weeks last summer. This place doesn't disappoint! Perfect location for strolling the beach or to sit back and enjoy the view from the pool or lounge chair. Easy access down to the beach. Also easy access to leave the property by car and go explore. We would choose Kehei Sands for another trip to Maui.

Our stay in A5 this last weekend was lovely. The condo is lovely. The bed is comfy. Just what we needed. Quiet area. Sugar beach is great. We will definitely rent this condo again if it available when we want to run away again. Our only problem we had was when we returned from dinner there were no parking spots for us. We figured out a place to park and the next morning discovered there were 8 vehicles without parking passes. Other than that glitch it was great!

If you enjoy walking the beach and a central location to see all of the offerings of Maui, this is the place to be. The property was described perfectly and right on the beach. Miles of sugar sand beach with very few people make for long enjoyable walks.
Easy to get to anywhere on the island from here.
One thing we did for this trip was to get the Gypsy App for Maui. It is about $ 10.00 and works with GPS on your phone. Wherever you go it provides perfect directions and narrates the history of the island and points out things to see. This was our 7th trip to Maui and we learned so much about the island from history to places to stop.
I would highly recommend Kihei Sands for cleanliness, hospitality, location and relaxation.

This was our second stay at the Kihei Sands Beachfront Condo A5. It is a very pleasant unit and the location of this condo complex is perfect. The description given for this unit is very accurate and the location is right on the beach. The central location allows easy access to all of Maui. The property is well-maintained and the management is very helpful. Many of the other guest stated they have been coming to this complex for years. We would love to plan a return visit soon.

I came to Maui for a much needed rest and recuperation. I was unsure which condo to choose and in the end went with A5 as I liked the décor.
I really wasn't disappointed with Kihei Sands at all!! Or with the condo! My first impression was that Kihei Sands itself was wonderfully placed and the managers were absolutely welcoming and delightful. A5 was bright, neat, had a great color scheme throughout and was neat, clean and inviting.
The little touches inside the condo were really lovely and the place felt like it was well thought out, cared for, and very well taken care of. I was able to stretch out on the sofa, lounge in the deep bath and spread out on the really comfy bed. My r n r weekend meant I did not go far; then again, I really didn't have to. A5 felt like a little piece of luxury just for me. Furthermore, as a previous manager of motels and hotels I have a critical eye regarding presentation, cleanliness and freshness. A5 certainly receives an A+ on all accounts. Not only will I be revisiting Kihei Sands, I've told many friends and colleagues about the place. Huge mahalos and definitely two thumbs up.

The condo itself was fairly nice but was advertised with partial ocean view. Yea if your standing outside the condo and looking that way you get a glimpse. When we got there the toilet seat was broken and hanging off a little, the living room fan didn't work and it was full of gnats. They did come and fix the seat right away but never got to the fan in the 9 days we were there nor did they do anything for the gnats. FYI, we did not leave food out nor did we leave screen door open. Overall cleanliness was good and it had new AC which worked well. The beach area was very sparsely populated which was great. The pool to us was cloudy and slick on bottom I am guessing from suntan oil. We only went in once due to that. If I went back probably wouldn't stay[ at these condos as selection was pretty great.

We are sorry that Kihei Sands was not the perfect fit for your vacation. We apologize for the inconvenience of the broken fan. Luckily the other fan in the living area was still working and the unit stayed comfy and cool with state of the art air conditioning. Unfortunately in Maui it takes a little extra time for parts and repair since we are a small island. Little bugs love living in the tropics. Kihei Sands has regular pest control programs to keep us as pest free as possible, and our pool is also serviced daily with a morning maintenance program. Sugar beach is beautiful and we are glad you enjoyed the miles of sand, surf, and tranquility! A5 is a lovely unit that has been remodeled and updated recently providing a comfy contemporary Pacific Coastal style. It truly is a beautiful home away from home. As you can see by other reviews, A5 has been enjoyed by many and will continue to provide the best service possible to our guests.

Nice condo right next to a beautiful beach. Great views! King bed was very comfortable, AC in room was a plus. Good central location in Maui. Parking spaces were way too small! Rent only a compact car if staying here. Could hear neighbors walking above us (noise insulation not the best), but never after quiet hours. Couple of showers without hot water when we first arrived, but staff fixed right away. Overall, a nice place. Location can't be beat! I would stay here again.

We went here back in November for our honeymoon and we are glad we chose this location. It was right on he beach and we enjoyed being able to sit on the grass instead of the beach on days that were too windy. They had coffee out in the public area every morning. Our room was clean and everything worked! The location is great and close enough to Kehei but out of town enough that it is quiet. You could go for walks along the beach at night and they weren't busy at all. They weren't busy in the day either, only a couple other families or couples. It was almost like a private beach! We had a mix up with our flights and the ladies at the front were very accommodating and friendly! We will for sure be back to Kehei sands!

Our stay was lovely. Very relaxing and although our place was small, it had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything and we found new beaches on the South side of Maui that we'd never been to that were beautiful. Would highly recommend this place. Mahalo!!

We've stayed here at the Kihei Sands many times over the years, and we've always loved our stay. This year was no exception. The Pineapple and flowers greetings was a nice surprise, and the toffee for the flight home was delicious! As always, the facility was spotless, the grounds immaculate, and our condo was clean and comfortable. We will be back again very soon!

The unit we rented delivered as advertised. Priced where it should be for a non/partial view room. The managers are really nice and personable. Facility was really clean, the staff who comes to clean before day break do a great job. Had fun at their pancake breakfast. Would definitely return

We have rented through VRBO in the past many times. This experience was outstanding. The managers, Cheri and Jonathon are top notch. They helped w/outing adventures and directions, nummy home baked foods (Sweet Creams on Facebook) and condo socials. Lots of gear to borrow for our adventures...cooler, chairs, boogie boards, towels, etc) The condo is steps from the beach. It is centrally located for all kinds of fun trips on the island. The guests and owners are a delight to socialize with. It was a great vacation!

Kihei Sands was the perfect place for a peaceful vacation. It was literally just seconds to the beach and a short drive from everything. Our condo was extremely clean and our bed so very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Kihei Sands!!!

The unit was clean and organized. It was equipped with all the dishes and appliances that we needed. Beloved the big wooden salad bowl. The T Lots of pillows, xtra towels and bedding. We have stayed at Kihei Sands every year for over 20 years. You are just steps from walking on six miles of sandy beach and can hear the ocean from your room. The kitchens are small, but all you need and supplied with all the appliances and dishes you would want and I love to cook! The managers are very helpful and friendly and the unit very clean with lots of towels and bedding and with starter supplies. Love the weekly potluck dinners "pupu's"out on the lanai and live music.

We stayed in A5 at Kehai Sands and loved it! It was so close to the pool and beach, family friendly, low-key, and relaxing. We loved the weekly s'mores campfires and appetizers/potlucks in the common area. The owners were so friendly. We would definitely recommend Kehai Sands!

Great location and Great management its not the only thing you need on your vacation. Unit A5 is old starting with the kitchen I've seen better appliances in goodwill for as much they charge for the room they can put better furniture in the living room.Buthroom has no exhaust fan. Showerhead in the shower spraying water everywhere but on you.Bedroom is getting so hot at night you just laying there in your sweat. PS The pillows is like a rock. Besides that everything else is OK.

We have stayed at Kihei Sands four different times now, but this was the first time in this particular unit. We had everything we needed to feel right at home, including a fully equipped kitchen. We have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at Kihei Sands, the great location, and of course the wonderful beach where we took morning and evening walks each day. We love Kihei Sands and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we are on Maui!

Right on the beach, not crowded and can go for long walks. Condo's are on North edge of town which is a plus for no crowds, low traffic, and plenty of space on the beach. We rented two condos and both were very nice. My unit, A5, was excellent. Only recommendation is to upgrade kitchen cabinet handles, since knobs catch fingers. This is minor and didn't affect how satisfied we were with the Condo, the Complex and amenities. The on site management team were outstanding. They have been there since last July but they are 100% customer service focussed. We stayed over Christmas and they hosted a pot luck dinner on the 25th. You get to meet other guests but it is very informal/friendly and relaxed. They also had a get together on New Years eve. Our return flight to the Mainland was at 10pm and due to the holidays we had to check out late morning. However, we were allowed to store our bags and stay on complex. Access to all other sites, the downtown area is very easy. We will return when we are in the area again!!!!
It was great staying at Kihei Sands. Room was clean and updated. The new staff made you feel right at home. We met old friends we see once a year. Can't wait until next year!
