Frequently Asked Questions

 

1.  Do you have laundry facilities?  We have laundromat rooms conveniently located on each floor.

 

2.  Are beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas available?  We have a community area under our stairway by the patio with a large variety of beach gear.  We have pool noodles, sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas.  These are for all guests to use during their stay with us on a first come/first served basis.

 

3.  Do units have beach towels and hair dryers?  Beach towels are provided in each condo.  Every condo has at least one hair dryer.

 

4.  Is there a swimmable beach nearby?  We are on beautiful Sugar Beach, where the sand is fine, just like sugar! There are no rocks, no seaweed, and no undertow. It’s an incredible swimming, snorkeling and walking beach.

 

5.  Do you have baby equipment available for use?  We do not provide baby gear.  See our Explore Maui page for rental company options who will deliver right to your unit before you arrive.   We want to ensure your little ones have safe and hygienic equipment.

 

6.  Is there a place to park 2 cars?  We have limited parking therefore only one car per condo is permitted.  We recommend renting a mid-size vehicle if possible for ease of navigating our lot. There is a public parking area a short walk from Kihei Sands for additional cars.

 

7Do you offer any last minute discounts?   Reservations made within 30 days of arrival will receive our lowest PEAK SEASON rate with no restrictions on minimum length of stay (subject to availability).  For reservations made online, our lowest PEAK SEASON rate will be applied. Please see our Specials page for more information.   If other discounts are not listed on our Specials page, our prices are set and cannot be adjusted in order to ensure fairness to all our owners. 

 

8.  What if I want to check in early?   Luggage can be put in the bedroom, and you can stay on the commons (pool yard, beach, lanai) until check in time, however we will not have bathroom facilities available to you.

 

Do you offer Late Check Out times?   Late checkouts, if available, must be approved by rental manager and will incur a fee.  We cannot guarantee a late check out.  With a late night flight you might prefer the peace of mind of a guaranteed stay and book the condo for the one extra night.

 

9.  What happens if I need to cancel my trip?    Reservations canceled more than 60 days prior to arrival are refunded full deposit minus $200 administration fee and nonrefundable $40 booking fee (plus applicable taxes).  After that date, the entire amount is forfeited if the reservation is cancelled.  We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance 

We offer trip insurance for 6.95% of your total accommodation (nightly) fee at Kihei Sands. It covers many of the reasons why our guests end up cancelling. It's a great protection policy, and most of our guests do not travel without it! You can add it any time before the final payment is taken.

 

10.  Can you make twin beds into a King?  Yes!  Put in a request and we'll have it set up prior to your arrival.
