Frequently Asked Questions

 

1.  Do you have laundry facilities?  We have coin-op laundromat rooms conveniently located on each floor.  We have bookshelves full of great beach reading, too! Leave a book - take a book.  

 

2.  Are beach toys, beach chairs and umbrellas available?  We have a community area under our stairway by the patio with a large variety of beach gear.  We have pool noodles, sand toys, boogie boards, and extra beach chairs.  These are for all guests to use during their stay with us on a first come/first served basis.  All condos have beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers provided as well. 

 

3.  Do units have beach towels and hair dryers?  Beach towels are provided in each condo.  Every condo has a hair dryer in each bathroom.

 

4.  Is there a swimmable beach nearby?  We are on beautiful Sugar Beach, where the sand is fine, just like sugar! There are no rocks, no seaweed, and no undertow. It’s an incredible swimming, snorkeling and walking beach.

 

5.  Do you have baby equipment available for use?  We do not provide baby gear.  See our Explore Maui page for rental company options who will deliver right to your unit before you arrive.   We want to ensure your little ones have safe and hygienic equipment.

 

6.  Is there a place to park 2 cars?  We have limited parking, therefore only one car per condo is permitted.  We recommend renting a mid-size vehicle if possible for ease of navigating our tight lot. There is a public parking area a short two-minute walk from Kihei Sands for additional cars.

 

7Do you offer any last minute discounts?   Reservations made within 30 days of arrival will receive our lowest PEAK SEASON rate with no restrictions on minimum length of stay (subject to availability). Our lowest PEAK SEASON rates will be automatically applied when booking. We are not currently running any specials or discounts. Our prices are set by a Board of Directors, and our reservation agents cannot adjust them.  This ensures fairness to all our owners. 

 

8.  What if I want to check in early?   Please check with staff before arriving on property by calling from the airport.  If early check in is available, they will advise you of this before you purchase groceries.  Access cannot be granted until housekeeping is done.  We will notify you if the condo is available before 3 pm check in time. We invite you to stay on the commons (pool yard, beach, patio) until check in time, however we will not have bathroom facilities available to you.

 

Do you offer Late Check Out times?   Late check outs, if available, must be approved by rental manager and will incur a 1/2 day rate fee (10 am to 10 pm).  We cannot guarantee a late check out until 48 hours before departure. We cannot grant same-day requests, as housekeeping staff will already be on site waiting to work.  With a late night flight you might prefer the peace of mind of a guaranteed stay and book the condo for the one extra night when you make your reservation. This is what most people do. 

 

9.  What happens if I need to cancel my trip?    Reservations canceled more than 60 days prior to arrival are refunded the full deposit paid, minus a $200 administration fee and a nonrefundable $40 booking fee (plus applicable taxes for a total of $250).  After that date, the entire amount is forfeited if the reservation is cancelled.  We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance, whether from us or from your own agent. 

We offer trip insurance for 6.95% of your total reservation costs. It covers many of the reasons why our guests end up cancelling. It's a great protection policy, and most of our guests do not travel without it! You can add it any time up until 72 hours before your flight departure to Maui. We will send the policy overview page and the insurance policy upon request. 

 

10.  Can you make twin beds into a King?  In some condos, but not all.  Our housekeeping vendor requires a $45 fee for this. Requests must be made at time of booking, and we'll have it set up prior to your arrival.
